Chicken Soup saute: lots of garlic quartered mushrooms shredded spinach or chard chop up and brown: 1 lb. chicken meat slowly boil: 6 cans chicken broth 2 large carrots, split lengthwise and cut in half 2 stalks of celery, split lengthwise and cut in half 2 onions, peeled and quartered after a while, fish out the vegetables, discard carrots, puree onion and celery. Add this puree back into broth with: 1/2 cup barley or pasta After 30 minutes for barley, or 15 minutes for pasta, add the sauted stuff and chicken. After about another 15 minutes, its done.
